Delaware Paranormal Expo 2012

The Delaware Ghost Hunters (DGH) is pleased to announce Delaware’s inaugural paranormal conference is being held in Delaware City, Delaware Friday – Sunday May 4-6, 2012.  It will be the “First State’s” first paranormal conference.

Conference goers will be able to attend and participate in paranormal workshops and seminars and training classes as well as valuable networking sessions.  Those attending will also be able to meet and interact with exhibitors, vendors and merchants.

Those attending the conference will also be afforded opportunities to participate in paranormal investigations of select locations in New Caste County.

This event is open to novice and experienced individuals interested in the field of paranormal science.

Conference goers will be able to attend and participate in paranormal workshops, seminars and training classes as well as valuable networking sessions.  The expo will feature several prominate guest speakers in the world of paranormal research and investigation.  A list of these events will be posted on our expo website within the next few days.

There will also be many vendors and merchants, as well as food and informational booths all day Saturday in Battery Park, Delaware City.  These booths will include other paranormal groups, vendors, and other merchants.

Accommodations: Rooms have been blocked off at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Wilmington-Newark, if you wish to have overnight accommodations.  Guests can call the Front Desk to book, by referencing “Delaware Ghost Hunters” or the booking code “DGH”.  Rooms will be reserved for conference attendees until April 15th so book early!

Bellevue Hall Mansion

On Friday May 4^th, from 9:00PM-2:00AM Participants will have the opportunity to conduct a five-hour paranormal investigation of Bellevue Hall through a partnership with Delaware Ghost Hunters and Delaware State Parks. Participants are welcome and encouraged to bring portable equipment so long as it is easily transported by the individual. THIS IS A RAIN OR SHINE PROGRAM. Belleview Hall is located in Bellevue State Park  911 Philadelphia Pike Wilmington, DE 19809. This location is Handicap restricted.

Price: $35

Fort Delaware

On Friday May 4^th and Saturday May 5^th from 9:00PM-2:00AM Participants will have the opportunity to participate in paranormal investigation through a partnership with Delaware Ghost Hunters and Delaware State Parks. Areas to be investigated may include the prisoner barracks, mess hall, officer’s kitchen, ordnance room area, officers quarters, prisoner barracks, and west end of Endicott section of fort. Participants are welcome and encouraged to bring portable equipment so long as it is easily transported by the individual. THIS IS A RAIN OR SHINE PROGRAM. The program will be canceled in the event of EXTREME inclement weather making ferry travel unsafe. Participants should arrive 30 minutes prior to boat departure to check in at the Fort Delaware dock, 45 Clinton Street, Delaware City DE 19706. Wheelchair accessible boat ramp and dock; jitney has wheelchair lift. This program takes people to the second and third floors of the fort and there is no elevator. Visitors with mobility issues may arrange with park office in advance to investigate only ground floor areas.

 The Sterling Building

On Friday May 4^th and Saturday May 5^th from 9:00PM-2:00AM Participants will have the opportunity to conduct a five-hour paranormal investigation of the Sterling Building through a partnership with Delaware Ghost Hunters. If you choose to attend, the investigation will be preceded by a dinner at Crabby Dicks Restaurant from 8:00PM-9:00PM immediately followed by an investigation of the Sterling Building located across the street. Attendance to the dinner is not required for the investigation of the Sterling Building. Participants are welcome and encouraged to bring portable equipment so long as it is easily transported by the individual. THIS IS A RAIN OR SHINE PROGRAM. The Sterling is located in the heart of Delaware City, on Clinton St. This location is Handicap restricted with the exception of Crabby Dicks Restaurant.

Price: $85 with dinner/ $35 without dinner

Delaware City Hotel

On Friday May 4^th and Saturday May 5^th from 8:00PM-2:00AM Participants will have the opportunity to conduct a five-hour paranormal investigation of Delaware City Hotel through a partnership with Delaware Ghost Hunters. The investigation will be preceded by a a one hour dinner (8:00PM-9:00PM) at Crabby Dicks Restaurant immediately followed by an investigation of that location from 9:00PM-2:00AM. This dinner will be included in the pricing of your ticket. Participants are welcome and encouraged to bring portable equipment so long as it is easily transported by the individual. THIS IS A RAIN OR SHINE PROGRAM. Delaware City Hotel/ Crabby Dicks Restaurant is located in the heart of Delaware City. 30 Clinton St Delaware City DE 19706. This location is Handicap restricted with the exception of Crabby Dicks Restaurant.

Upon registration for the event, you will recieve a special code with your tickets allowing you to come back to this site.  After entering the promotional code where it says “Enter Promotional Code” a list of the currently available investigations and their prices will become available for you to select from.  There is no limit on what you may sign up for but conference registration is required and WILL BE CHECKED AT THE INVESTIGATION.  Lanyards wil be provided to ensure registation.
