Fort Delaware (weekend 1)

Well, the first weekend of the Pea Patch Paranormal Adventure has concluded, from a DGH stand point it went very well.

Friday night we investigated the Kitchen, Mess Hall, Endicotts, Laundry Room, and Ordinance room. Various experiences were had and it seemed as all the guests of the island had a very enjoyable time. Saturday night we dropped the Ordinance room and replaced it with the Prisoner Barracks. With the clear sky, full moon, the still night it was prepped perfectly for a great investigation, and it seemed as if the residents of the Fort didn’t disappoint.

Did you participate this weekend? What did you think? Did you experience anything, find any evidence? Let us know in the talk-back below.

i was at the sat event and while i was in the mess hall i walked to the end of the hallway beside the kitchen where there is a really small room. I went in there and i had my voice recorder and i asked the question what is your name didnt here anything so i left. Upon getting home i played back my tape and found a deep dark voice answer me back. I could not make out what it said. I have know way of getting you the voice because my recorder dont use connections. And also when we were in theendicotts i took a picture and in the one corner i found a strange mist. Couldnt explain it, but i can send you the picture if you would like. I had a really good time that was my first ghost hunt. And i think it is a field i would really love to get in to. My daughter and I attended the 6:30 investigation on 10/3. The fort did not disappoint like it didn\’t the night on 9/11 at the 8:00 Candlelight tour. We were able to experience a bookcase door swing open twice while in the room from the kitchen. The guide in the room had asked that a door be opened and I was standing next to the cabinet in the corner near the fireplace and saw a door behond me when we entered. I turned to check the door and when I turned back the cabinet door was open a little bit, which it wasn\’t before. It then swung opened. Another guest asked if they could close the door and they did which produced a small click noise. They pulled it opened to see how much force it took to open and it needed some force but did make the same click noise when opened. They closed it again and asked for the door to be opened. It then opened again with no noise as it swung opened. It was a very enjoyable evening and I hope that this type of tour will continue. You do have repeat customers with my daughter and I. Thanks for a good evening and a big thank you to Rick Coherd for allowing my daughter to help out on 9/11 which encouraged her to want to come back again for 10/3. Hope we can do this again soon.

Of course, we enjoyed the experience very much. Two EMF recorders went off for a few seconds, too.
